MissionMode is delivered over the Web as a hosted service (Software as a Service). This means there is no software to install and no costly hardware to manage and maintain. It also means that you can access and administer the system from anywhere in the world with a simple connection to the Internet.

The MissionMode System includes:

• 128-bit encryption of all Web communications
• Access only by authenticated users
• Encrypted passwords
• Physically secure data centers, including key, password, and biometric security
• Redundancy and fail-over protection
• Geographically dispersed disaster recovery sites
• Multiple high-speed communications and Internet backbone connections
• Generator power backup
• Duplicate and redundant Web, application, database servers, all with RAID storage and duplicate and redundant communications centers

Beyond Simple Resilience - Information Security

No longer is resiliency enough to ensure effective security. MissionMode, who is the leading international vendor of urgent communications systems, has a highly developed approach to security. MissionMode's information security covers the following areas:

Confidentiality. MissionMode's policies, procedures, infrastructure and application security all provide a complete mechanism for keeping information and systems confidential. Only people who are authorized will have access. Any unauthorized attempts to access the system are denied and logged.

Integrity. Advanced design and operations management confirm the integrity of the data managed by MissionMode. Data can only be sourced from authorized services including any that use the Application Programming Interface (API). Backwards compatibility makes sure that historic data and processes are not corrupted.

Availability. Often called resilience. MissionMode has a uniquely distributed infrastructure with no single point of failure. Multiple data and communication centers around the world provide load balancing and hot-availability. As a result, MissionMode routinely meets the demands of government, finance, aviation and numerous other industries with sophisticated, logical and physical controls, hardware and software redundancy combined with access and availability.

Consequently, MissionMode is pleased to be certified under the U.S. Department of Commerce's Safe Harbor program defining the Data Protection regime required by the European Union as well as the European Union Directive on Data Protection.
