MissionMode complies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the United States Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland. MissionMode has certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. The privacy principles in this Policy are based on the Safe Harbor Framework.
CUSTOMER CHOICE: MissionMode allows customers to choose whether they prefer an opt-in or opt-out policy for their users. By default, regular users are opt-in, and administrator-level users are opt-out, as MissionMode should be able to contact administrators about the technical operation of MissionMode's service. Administrators can opt out of these communications from within their MissionMode user profile settings. MissionMode will never disclose personal information to third parties. MissionMode does not collect any sensitive personal information (as defined by the Safe Harbor Framework).
ONWARD TRANSFER: MissionMode does not transfer personal information to third parties.
SECURITY: MissionMode takes reasonable precautions to protect personal information in its possession from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. These precautions include extensive physical, network, application, and database level security measures, as well as security policies and procedures with which all MissionMode personnel must comply. These precautions are continuously monitored and regularly reviewed in order to maintain the maximum protection of all data.
DATA INTEGRITY: MissionMode will use personal information only in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. MissionMode will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is relevant to its intended use, accurate, complete, and current.
ACCESS: Each organization subscribing to MissionMode services controls the means by which each individual member can change or correct their personal information, and whether the information is visible to others.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION: Any questions or concerns regarding the use or disclosure of personal information should be directed to MissionMode's Privacy Office at the address given below. MissionMode will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with the principles contained in this Policy. Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Policy shall be determined by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its International Arbitration Rules, by the EU Data Protection Authorities, or by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
LIMITATION ON APPLICATION OF PRINCIPLES: Adherence by MissionMode to these Safe Harbor Principles may be limited (a) to the extent required to respond to a legal or ethical obligation; and (b) to the extent expressly permitted by an applicable law, rule or regulation.
