Andrew J. “Flip” Filipowski

MissionMode Executive Chairman, Andrew “Flip Filipowski, is one of the world's most successful high-tech entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and industry visionaries. The former COO of Cullinet, the largest software company of the 1980's, was also the founder and CEO of PLATINUM technology, inc. Flip grew PLATINUM into the 8th largest software company in the world at the time of its sale to Computer Associates for $4 billion dollars, the largest such transaction for a software company at the time. Upside Magazine named him one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Information Technology and the Triad Business Journal recently named him as one of the 2008's 75 Most Influential People in the Triad. A recipient of Entrepreneur of the Year Awards from both Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch, Flip has also been awarded the Young President’s Organization Legacy Award and the Anti-Defamation League's Torch of Liberty award for his work fighting hate on the Internet.

Malcolm Hafner
President
Malcolm Hafner is responsible for direct sales, engineering and customer support. Formerly CEO, EMEA of MissionMode Malcolm managed the development and implementation of the regional strategy. During his tenure he has brought MissionMode to market earning an enviable list of customers, revenue and reputation. Prior to MissionMode, Malcolm was the CEO of Global Recall, an international knowledge management products company. He successfully led Global Recall through sales and product growth and finally through acquisition into divine inc. in 2001. While at divine Malcolm led the knowledge management products group, penetrating new global markets, followed by a role on the European Management Board charged with accelerating sales across its product range. Prior to Global Recall Malcolm held various management roles in professional services, sales and consulting at companies such as Interleaf and LBMS.

Mike Mitchell
Executive Vice President, North America
Mike Mitchell serves as executive vice president of North America for MissionMode. His responsibilities include shape product direction, facilities and technology, sales support and customer care. As former vice president of operations for MissionMode, Mitchell managed day-to-day technical operations along with customer service at MissionMode with the goal of providing a first-class experience to the company’s entire client base. He also directed technical operations and customer service for TrueSentry, InterAct's video surveillance and analytics solution. Prior to MissionMode and InterAct, Mr. Mitchell was Senior Director of Application Operations for UnitedHealth Group. Previously, he also directed technical services staff at BroadVision, and architected software solutions with OnDisplay Software (now Vignette). Mr. Mitchell spent over four years with PLATINUM technology, directing professional services for both the Internet and Desktop Management divisions. Before joining PLATINUM, he consulted for data warehousing pioneer Information Advantage, and engineered multimedia products for IBM's AS/400 Advanced Technology organization, where he obtained a patent in user interface design. After 15 years in the software industry, he has gained a unique perspective on IT. Mr. Mitchell, who holds a degree in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT, has spent time directing engineering, consulting, sales, customer service, and technical operations for organizations in a wide range of technology domains.

Steven J. McDowall
Executive Vice President, Product Engineering
As executive vice president of product engineering, Mr. McDowall manages the engineering efforts and product architecture of MissionMode Solutions, which is a SilkRoad Equity financed company. From 2002-2003, Mr. McDowall acted as the chief operating officer of illumineX, inc., where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of the company in the areas of profit and loss, development, marketing initiatives, product direction and corporate strategies. Mr. McDowall managed the growth and success of PLATINUM technology, inc.’s desktop management division as vice president from 1998-1999. At PLATINUM, Mr. McDowall was a member of the Senior Architecture Board, which was responsible for the company’s overall technical direction. He has secured five patents pertaining to the area of software system architecture and he is also the co-creator of UUM SIGNET, which handles all Usenet connectivity issues between the Internet and the state of Minnesota. In past years, Mr. McDowall has received the 3M-Creativity Award and Bausch & Lomb’s National Science Award.

Matthew Roszak
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Roszak is responsible for overseeing MissionMode's financial operations including treasury, finance, accounting, legal, and mergers and acquisitions. He is also managing partner of SilkRoad Equity LLC, a private investment firm that invests in promising high-technology organizations and manages them for growth and profitability. Prior to SilkRoad, Mr. Roszak served as senior vice president of corporate development for divine, inc., which is an enterprise software firm. Previously, he was a principal with leading international investment firms such as Advent International plc and Keystone Capital Partners LLC. During his career, Mr. Roszak has invested and managed in excess of $500 million of equity capital in a broad range of industries, and he also has experience in executing a broad scope of transactions including divestitures; corporate and transactional financing, including private equity, venture capital, mezzanine and conventional financings; public offerings; private placements; and financial restructurings.
